The most widely produced and commercialized coffee varieties are: Coffee Arabica and Coffee Robusta. Ethiopia is home to the most genetically diverse strains of Coffee Arabica

Coffee was discovered by an Ethiopian goat herd called Kaldi in the 1500s. He saw his goat eating coffee cherries and later observed a change in their behavior- gained high amount of energy and they didn't sleep at night.
Kaldi shared his findings with local monks and then after they made a drink with coffee beans, they realized they could stay up all night and pray. They spread the experience and it reached across the world.
